Cameron in Beijing!

In again at 8 am, I finished the cast modification, draped the socket and set about aligning the new prostheses with a four bar knee and a dynamic foot.  German prosthetists align prostheses differently to the rest of the world and as I was out numbered I let one of them show me how they align above knee prostheses using a laser jig.

The patient arrived for a fitting at 1pm and after a few minor adjustments had a grin from ear to ear.  It seemed many of the guys in the workshop were happy with the result as he was such a difficult patient to fit.  A nice way to finish up what I thought was my last day in the workshop.  I had to leave the final adjustments for another Prosthetist to do the following day as we were all off to the opening ceremony. 

Another phone call from the Australian media – this time working for Australian Associated Press.  Keep your eyes peeled in the Australian papers in case something pops up.  Please let us know if you find anything.
