Paralympians

APC Prosthetics are the specialist prosthetic consultants of choice to the Australian Paralympic Team.

The demands that Paralympian’s place on their prostheses are extreme. These extreme conditions represent an opportunity for the team at APC to develop prosthetic solutions for the most demanding of individuals at the highest level of performance.  The prosthetic methods and techniques used to create these solutions are then applied to all APC clients irrespective of age or activity level. The ultimate aim is maximizing performance for every individual.

The Australian Paralympic Team has been extremely successful over the last decade. Atlanta 1996 saw the Australian Paralympic team finish second on the medal tally. At the memorable Games of Sydney 2000, Australia was the leading medal winner and finished on top of the medal tally. Another extraordinary performance at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games had Australia finish in 3rd place on the medal tally.

APC Prosthetics is proud to have provided the prosthetic management for many of the medal winners including Neil Fuller, Steve Wilson, Don Elgin, Amy Winters and Earl Connor.

In 2008 APC Prosthetics supported a number of athletes who attended the Beijing Paralympic Games. These included:
Kelly Cartwright (VIC), Aaron Chatman (ACT), Heath Francis (ACT), Michael Milton (ACT), Paul Raison (QLD), Stephen Wilson (QLD) and Christine Wolf (ACT).
