APC Prosthetics - Meet our Hunter Team

Ron Wright
Ron Wright has practiced prosthetics since 1960 and is highly regarded as one of Australia’s leading prosthetists. Ron has owned and managed prosthetic practices for over 30 years and his expertise spans both upper and lower extremity prosthetics. Ron is the general manager of APC Prosthetics (Hunter) and coordinates all activities at our Hunter practice. Ron attends clinics in Newcastle and on the Central Coast, along with overseeing service delivery at the rural clinics at hospitals in Tamworth and Wingham.

Tony Morrow
Tony has practiced prosthetics & orthotics for 26 years. He commenced work with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs in 1981 where he remained for 16 years, before spending the past ten years in the private sector. Tony has been a trans-femoral amputee since 1980, and as such is fully conversant & intimately aware of the day-to-day issues confronted by all amputees. Tony is considered an expert in lower limb prosthetics, and in particular, trans-femoral socket design. Tony’s primary responsibilities at APC Prosthetics focus on service provision at the rural clinics in Tamworth and Wingham.

Brian Murphy
Brian has worked in prosthetics & orthotics for 20 years, initially at the rehabilitation unit at Tamworth Hospital, and for the past five years in the private sector. In 2003 Brian commenced a Degree in Prosthetics/Orthotics. Brian's areas of expertise & interest lay in trans-tibial prosthetics and early rehabilitation management, along with range of motion ankle/foot orthoses. Brian currently attends Country and Rural clinics at Wingham and Tamworth and assists with clinics on the Central Coast.

Ian Robertson
Ian joined APC Prosthetics as a prosthetist in 2006 and has been servicing clinics on the Central Coast, Tamworth, Northern NSW and Newcastle areas for the past 16 years. Ian has practiced in all area of prosthetics. He is fully accredited with the NSW ALS, is a member of ISPO and regularly attends ISPO conferences.

Daniel Veith
Daniel graduated from La Trobe University in 2005 with a Bachelor in Prosthetics and Orthotics. Daniel completed an Upper Limb Course in 2006 at Caulfield Hospital in Melbourne and has attended ISPO conferences in Hong Kong and Canada. Daniel joined APC Prosthetics (Hunter) from its inception and services clinics on the Central Coast and Northern NSW. He is fully accredited with NSW ALS and is a member of ISPO and AOPA

Ann Walker
Ann has been with APC Prosthetics (Hunter) since its inception and has been employed in the prosthetics/orthotics industry for the past 17 years. Ann is the Administration Manager.

Kelly Furey
Kelly has been with APC Prosthetics (Hunter) since its inception and is employed as receptionist/secretary. Please contact Kelly to co-ordinate your appointment planning.

Benjamin Wright
Benjamin has been employed as a Prosthetic Technician for the past six years and has been employed by APC Prosthetics (Hunter) since its inception.

Shaun Leddy
Shaun is a qualified electrical fitter/mechanic who has been working as a prosthetic technician for the past eight years

Vei LeCompte
Vei joined APC Prosthetics (Hunter) in 2008. Vei assists with clerical duties and reception.
